Denver Kids Expo (Denver)

posted Sunday January 14, 2007

    Denver Kids ExpoDeep snow

January 27, 2007
10 AM – 7 PM

Has all the snow and cold got you and the kids suffering from cabin fever?  Head over to Denver Merchandise Mart for hours of entertaining activities for the little ones, and some parenting resource info for the adults at the Denver Kids Expo.

Unfortunately, the “free” admission only applies to children under 12 and (perhaps) the grandparents, assuming they are 65 or over.  Everyone in between has to pay $8 admission.  Parking is free — apparently no matter what the age of the driver!

Meanwhile, back at the expo, kids can jump and slide and climb and draw, play with furry animals and swimming animals, and learn about hula dancing and karate.  And just when you thought you could sit back and just watch, your child might try to enter you in the “TP Mom or Dad” event, or challenge you to the diaper changing race.  Look out!

With all that, you “big kids” will probably want to pick up some information on nannies, preschool, and summer camp, not to mention college planning, and health and wellness brochures.  Especially the health and wellness brochures!
